The YORK range of chillers is the broadest in the market, comprising hundreds of chiller models, compressor types, power capacities, condensation modes, and operational limits.
The expertise of DJENAIR, a YORK distributor, is essential for selecting the most suitable model for your project, whether you are a design office, installer, or end user. A selection of YORK machines best suited for the specific and challenging conditions of the African continent is presented here.
Once the chiller is chosen, DJENAIR can, if desired, handle the implementation with its additional equipment (pumps, valves, piping, etc.) to ensure the successful outcome of your solution.
The YORK range covers capacities from 20 kW to 2000 kW per machine.
Modularity and Continuous Operation
9 sizes from 45 kW to 260 kW
Operation up to +52°C (many machines installed in the Sahara)
Maximum combination of 32 units for 4000 kW
When one module is stopped, the others operate, all managed by intelligent control.
Ease of Installation and Reduced Footprint
Up to 2300 kg per module, easy handling with a forklift or light crane.
The Range
From 500 kW to 1800 kW per unit
Operation up to +52°C (many machines installed in the Sahara)
Possibility of glycol water at -8°C
Variable speed:10-20% energy savings. Very low electrical intensity at startup with a power factor greater than 0.92Linear regulation and 10% minimum power
Cleanable evaporator on the water side in case of circuit pollution: These industrial groups do not come with integrated hydraulic modules because pump sizing and type always depend on the application and network. Integrating a hydraulic module for groups of such power disregards the rules for determining hydraulic systems.
Several water-condensed machines exist in the YORK range. From 1000 kW onwards, the most economical machine in terms of energyc onsumption, maintenance and lifespan is water-condensed and equipped with a centrifugal compressor. YORK leads in chillers equipped with centrifugal compressors and can offer numerous variations in technology and refrigerant fluid.
Variable speed centrifugal compressor on magnetic bearings. Elimination of vibrations, friction, and thus oil.
Historically, these compressors were designed and developed by YORK to equip submarines in the French and American navies due to their silence and lack of vibration.
The energy cost of refrigeration production is very high. One of YK's main advantages is the considerable energy savings in power consumption. It uses half the energy of an air-condensed machine and can achieve a performance coefficient of up to 12* for variable speed machines (*4 for an air-condensed machine).
These types of machines, operating with steam, are generally associated with an industrial process that emits low-pressure steam, which would otherwise be wasted, or with heat recovery from exhaust gases of a thermal engine.
Consequently, their energy cost is practically zero.
They must be associated with a comprehensive supply from DJENAIR, including all necessary additional equipment for proper operation.
